Value of Old Banknotes from The Niagara Suspension Bridge Bank of Queenston, Canada

Old Money from The Niagara Suspension Bridge Bank of Queenston

The Niagara Suspension Bridge Bank probably has the best bank name of any Canadian bank.  And not surprisingly, every bank note even has an engraved image of the bank’s namesake bridge.  The bank was open from December 1836 to December 1841.  Notes can be dated as Dec. 20 1836, Apr. 3 1837, Aug. 31 1837, July 20 1839, Oct. 13 1840, Jan. 4 1841, 1 Mar. 1841, 1 May 1841, and 1 July 1841.  The bank issued $1, $3, $5, $10, and $20 bills.  Values are really across the board.  Most bank notes sell for around $100.  However, there are certainly some varieties that are worth a good deal more money.  If you have a bank note from The Niagara Suspension Bridge Bank then we would encourage you send us a picture of it.  We can tell you what it is worth.
