Description: At first glance, 1902 $4 bills look exactly like 1900 $4 bills. However, the 1902 examples have a slightly different Sault Ste. Marie lock engraving. Lord and Lady Minto are still pictured on each bank note. This issue marks the last time that The Dominion of Canada issued a four dollar bill.
Varieties: All 1902 $4 bills are signed by T.C. Boville. We are showing a note with very large “4”s in the top right and left corners. Other notes could have “FOUR” written out instead. The text version if about twice as rare as the numeral version.
