Value of Old Banknotes from The Arman’s Bank of Montreal, Canada
Old Money from The Arman’s Bank of Montreal
These bank notes are actually much more likely to be merchant’s scrip than actual bank notes in the traditional sense. All of these are dated as 1 August 1837. They are actually fairly rare, but interest isn’t especially high with collectors in today’s market. Five pence, ten pence, and fifteen pence notes were issued. They were also denominated in sous, which equates to 10 sous, 20 sous, and 30 sous.
