Value of 1935 $50 Bill from Banque Du Canada

Banque Du Canada 1935 Fifty Dollar Bill

Description:   At first glance this might look like a Canadian bank note from 1937. All of those feature a portrait of King George VI. It just so happens that 1935 $50 bills also show a portrait of George VI, only in 1935 he was still Prince Albert, Duke of York. Each of these fifty dollar bills was printed by The Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. We are looking at the French version; so all of the text is in French instead of English. Generally speaking, these are rare bank notes. There was only one French version bank note printed for every four English version issued. You can see from the printing total listed below that not many of these ever entered circulation. Keep reading further down the page for more value information.

Varieties:   There are no varieties for the Ottawa emission de 1935 $1 bill from La Banque Du Canada. Each note is signed by J.A.C. Osborne as the sous-gouverneur and by G.F. Towers as the gouverneur. Of course the red serial number and overall condition will differ from note to note.

Quantity Printed:   32,500
