Value of 1935 $500 Bill from Banque Du Canada
Banque Du Canada 1935 Five Hundred Dollar Bill
Description: Canadians will likely quickly recognize the man pictured on the left hand side of each 1935 $500 bill. Most Americans will not recognize the portrait. That is John Alexander Macdonald and he was the first prime minister of Canada (beginning his tern in 1867). Each of these high denomination bank notes was printed by The Canadian Bank Note Company Limited for use by La Banque Du Canada. These are very rare bank notes. Right now there are no recorded examples of issued French version 1935 $500 bills known to exist. Odds are that some will eventually be discovered. If you have one, then now would be a great time to cash in as the first discovery.
Varieties: There are no varieties for the Ottawa emission de 1935 $1 bill from La Banque Du Canada. Each note is signed by J.A.C. Osborne as the sous-gouverneur and by G.F. Towers as the gouverneur. Of course the red serial number and overall condition will differ from note to note.
