Bank of Canada 1935 Twenty Dollar Bill

Description:   You are looking at the English version of The Bank of Canada Issue of 1935 $20 bill. Princess Elizabeth is featured on the front of each twenty dollar bank note from 1935. The Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited printed this denomination for The Bank of Canada.

Varieties:   Issue of 1935 $20 bills were printed as two different varieties. The difference is noticed in the black seal on the right hand side of each bank note. We are showing what is called a “large” seal. The more common variety is a “small” seal. The easiest way to differentiate between the two is to look at the outside rim on the seal. If it is a thick black circle surrounding the seal then you have a small seal. If you can easily see the thin loops of the outer seal then you have the large variety. Large seals are worth about a 30% premium.
