Description: You are looking at the French version of a 1935 one dollar bank note issued by The Bank of Canada. All of the text is in French. The design shows a striking portrait of King George V. The back of the note states the denomination and the bank of issue. It also has a vignette of an allegorical female seated on a throne. All of these bank notes were printed by The Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited. 1935 is the only year that French only notes were issued by La Banque Du Canada. One dollar bills are the most common for the series. We have more value information listed below.
Varieties: There are no varieties for the Ottawa emission de 1935 $1 bill from La Banque Du Canada. Each note is signed by J.A.C. Osborne as the sous-gouverneur and by G.F. Towers as the gouverneur. Of course the red serial number and overall condition will differ from note to note.
