Value of Old Banknotes from The Bank of Liverpool, Canada

Old Money from The Bank of Liverpool

Reference books suggest that the corporate life of The Bank of Liverpool in Nova Scotia was 1871 to 1879.  It was actually closed from April 1873 until 1878.  It issued bank notes during its first run.  All currency should be dated as 1st November 1871 or 1st Nov. 1871.  Four, five, ten, and twenty dollar bills were printed by The British American Bank Note Co., Montreal & Ottawa.  Signors include Robie S. Sterns, John A. Leslie, Sylvanus Morton, J.F. Forbes, and Thomas Rees.  Four and five dollar bills are occasionally available for sale.  Ten dollar bills are rare; twenty dollar bills are very rare.
