Old Money from The St. Lawrence Bank and Lumber Company of Malbay
This was a spurious bank that “existed” in 1837. It issued one and two dollar bills printed by Underwood, Bald, Spencer & Huffy N. York & Philada. They are dated as 25th May 1837. Each note is signed by J. Croft and G.G. McLeod. Most examples sell for around $150 today.
