Bank notes from the The Mechanics Bank of St. John’s are very common.  The bank didn’t actually exist.  It was a spurious bank.  Rawdon, Wright & Hatch printed one, two, three, five, ten, and twenty dollar bills.  Dates include May 20 1837, May 21 1837, June 20 1837, July 1 1837, Novr 29 1837, and Nov 29 1837.  Most all of these bank notes are going to sell for around $100 to $200.  You are welcome to contact us if you need a more exact price.
