Value of Old Banknotes from The Canada Bank of Toronto
Old Money from The Canada Bank of Toronto
This bank never actually opened for business. It intended to operate under The Free Banking Act. Fortunately for collectors though proof notes were printed by Danforth, Wright & Co. Each note is denominated in both dollars and shillings. So we have one, two, and five dollar bills. Those correspond to five shillings, ten shillings, and one pound five shillings. Each note is dated as November 1st, 1855. Please contact us if you would like a free appraisal on your proof note.
