Varieties: The first thing you need to know about 1923 $1 Dominion of Canada notes is that the seal color, signature combination, and serial number are all very important. Your seal color can be black, red, blue, green bronze, or purple. All serial numbers are in red ink. Serial numbers can start with any letter with exception of I, O, and Q. The possible signature combinations are Geo. W. Hyndman and J.C. Saunders, S.P. McCavour and J.C. Saunders, C.E. Campbell and Watson Seller, and C.E. Campbell and W.C. Clark.
