Description: The young lady featured on the front of each 1917 $1 bill is Princess Patricia. She was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. All of these Dominion of Canada notes have a nice simple layout with red serial numbers and a green tint. The back of these bank notes shows the Parliament Building.
Varieties: One dollar bills from 1917 come with lots of design differences based on the seal type, signature, series letter, and suffix. None of the varieties are especially rare, but they do affect values by about 20% in some cases.
